Life I moved to San Jose, CA in 1971 from Napa. I went to Leigh High in 10th grade and the beginning of 11th. During the second month of 11th, I got in trouble as a Juvenile, then sent to Morgan Hill Boys Ranch for what ended up to be 7 months. After the ranch, I was released in June of '73, and never went back to school. However, I was trained as a machinist apprentist in vocational school while at Morgan Hill, so I got a job and went to work instead of school, and started going out with the sister of someone I was at the Ranch with. I somehow ended up in trouble again, this time avoiding problems by enlisting in the service. In Jan '74 I enlisted in the Army, did Basic in Ft Jackson South Carolina, then further assigned to Ft Ord, and TDY to (Hunter Liggett Military Reservation). In Dec '75 I was assigned to go overseas to Fulda, Germany assigned to the 11th ACR. Feb '77 I reenlisted to train Special Forces, being assigned to Ft Bragg NC after training in Ft Leonardwood MO, and Jump School at Ft Benning GA. After the "Q" course was completed, I was assigned to an operational "A" detachment in Ft Devens, Mass.
